ABOUT US

Hi,

May we thank you for looking at our Web site.

The club is one of the oldest established angling clubs in the country, having been in continual existence since the mid 1800,s.We have a membership of over four hundred currently and hope to maintain this figure in the coming year.

Our aim is to please a wide and varied membership to the best of our abilities, and as such provide angling for all.

Should you require canal angling. We have it .

Should you require river fishing. We've got it.

Should you wish to indulge in barbel angling  we can provide it, along with many other popular types of angling including carp, tench, bream, roach and pike.

Our members have in the last season produced carp to thirty, pike to twenty nine plus, also chub to seven and barbel to about fourteen.

Our waters are made up of fisheries on both the rivers Nene and the Great Ouse as well as fourteen miles of canal angling on the Grand Union Canal.. We also have five still waters.

All  waters are open through out the year with the exception of the rivers.

There are one or two  bans which we feel necessary: SEE   CLUB RULES No joker or bloodworm except between bridges 22 and 27 on the grand union between November and March. Inclusive.

The ruling for the amount of rods used is that on the rivers only two rods may be used per angler, though he may with two rod licenses use three on still waters unless other wise specified ( Meadow Lakes) where the rules are different from the general rules of the club and are displayed at the entrance to the lakes, and (Swan Valley).
